I live near Los Angeles. And my prom is comming up. I want a unique dress that no one will have. Alot of girls i know are going to Macy’s, JC Penney, Widsors etc to get their dresses that is why i DO NOT want to go there. I am looking for a local shop that will have a unique dress and that wont cost me too much. Do you have any suggestions.

My budget is 0, but if it’s a stunning dress, I’ll spend up to 5. I don’t do poofy princess dresses, but something more sleek and sophisticated. I like backless, but nothing slutty. Floor length. I’d prefer something with a rich color. No oranges or pinks. My Formal (which is like a prom) is May 10th, but I don’t want to wait too long when everything is too picked over. I’m a size 4-6 depending on the brand.

I’m going on an expedition to help buy prom dresses, but we don’t want to go to just Macy’s or something of that sort, because everyone will have dresses from there! I would like some suggestions of where to go in Los Angeles for this mission. Downtown, Santa Monica, even the San Fernando Valley, Pasadena, or Orange County would work (hopefully not too far into Orange!). We don’t want to spend outrageous sums of money. A five thousand dollar dress is NOT in my future. Thanks! Btw, names of individual stores or even just areas will do nicely.
