Make Little Red Riding Hood Costume

Full details at www.retrosewing.net I made this dress for under a (for ribbon), by recycling my sisters graduation gown. Although the pattern is for a costume, it’s so nice that this cute little red dress can be worn all year round. Simplicity’s Halloween pattern 0488 provides all the Red Riding Hood pieces. You can find tutorials for the cape and the apron for Little Red Riding Hood on the other sewing tutorials by RetroSewing.net

This elegantly dramatic gown combines simplicity with an asymmetrically draping neckline, beaded straps and an off-center low back with a gathered drape that embellishes the dress all the way to the floor. The bodice is shirred and the skirt slim with a train. The stretch jersey knit fabric is matched with thick tank style straps with beads and sequins encrusted on those straps and around the unusual cut out back. This gown is both simple and a standout. It is perfect for prom or any formal occasion. The dress is available in Black, Royal and White and sizes 0-24. www.CherrylsPromandPageant.com

@xXxrandomblissxXx It does look easy when shortened for video, but then who would watch a real time video?
Not everyone wants to sew, but anyone can learn, and it can be fun, rewarding, and practical. Thanks for commenting.

I’m sure that many people will agree with you. While this dress shows much less skin than many on prom dance floors nationwide this year, it does have an open back and is quite slinky. The great news is that there are more than enough styles to make everyone look beautiful and feel comfortable. Thanks for your time and comments!
