Question by pinkbottlecap: Is it tacky to wear a short prom dress to senior prom?
Everyone says senior prom is supposed to be classy and elegant (ish). But I am 4 ft 11 inches. If I wear a gown, I’ll look really short! I want to wear a short dress but I don’t know if that’s too trashy for senior prom. Even if it’s not trashy, I don’t want to be the only girl wearing a short dress. What do you guys think?

There was a girl at my prom that had such a short dress that her *ss was showing.

What about really high heels, that will bring you up to about 5.3″ nearly average.

It’s actually a smart move to wear a short prom dress if your short because it will show off your legs and give the illusion of height, especially with heels. Wearing a longer gown will hide your legs and make you look like a tree stump. Back in my high school, their were a ton of girls that wore the shorter dresses. Prom is about standing out and being confident in your dress and accessories, as well as your date. As long as the dress isnt super short and your having a good time, you have nothing to worry about.
