Open Question: Can anyone help me with my english hmwk- we have to write a fairytale but in the modern era???!!!plz help me?
Hi i really need some help
We have to write a fairytale in the modern day eg we can use cinderella and write a short adaptation of that
i thought about doing cinderella, where the girl ella’s mother dies, and her father marries again. her step-mother and step-sisters appear to get along with her until her father is forced to go off to London to work to earn some money for the family.
Her step-mother instantly turns horrible, forcing her into being their servant. But one day, the most handsome rich boy from town turns up at her house asking why she doesnt come to school any more. She tells him about everything and he comforts her. they become really close.
He asks her out to the school prom nite which is coming up really soon. She agrees but then her step-mother forbids her from going. She and her step-sisters leave the house and lock her in and go to the prom.
However, her mother appears as a dove and comes to her rescue, picking the lock on the door with her beak and getting a beautiful dress from her mother’s cupboard.
Then Ella’s goes to the prom nite and the handsome boy doesn’t realise its her. When she leaves at midnight, she doesn’t tell him who she is.
The next day he searches the whole village for her, trying to identify who the glass slipper belongs to.
When he turns up at her door, the step mother answers and tries to force her daughters feet into the slipper but it doesnt fit.
Even though he sees Ella, he doesnt ask her to try on the slipper, because he knows she isnt as beautiful as the girl he danced with.
Fortunately, the dove takes the shoe from his hand and puts it on her daughters foot
It fits, of course, and the boy and Ella live happily ever after etc.
i thought this sounded good but when i tried to write it down in a story form i rambled on a lot
could any1 plz help me by giving their opinion on my storyline and what i shuld do to improve it?????
